A Community-Centered Approach
Our vision is rooted in Chicago, with appreciation for the South Side’s culture, relationships, and neighborhood connections. Community participation should reflect each person’s interests.

A caring vision, rooted in community. A belief that everyone deserves a place to belong and the support to thrive.

Our mission is to build a person-centered residential support environment where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities are respected, encouraged, and supported in pursuing meaningful everyday lives.
We envision connected communities where people have genuine choices, nurturing relationships, and opportunities to grow—where support strengthens independence and belonging is a part of daily life.

CRS Community Living Services’s developing approach is intended for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who may benefit from support with everyday living and community participation.
Every individual brings their own strengths, interests, communication preferences, cultural identity, and goals. A thoughtful conversation about those needs is essential to exploring potential fit.
Service availability, eligibility, and individual arrangements must be confirmed; an inquiry is not an offer of admission.
Respect for every person’s identity, privacy, and worth.
Meaningful connections and a genuine sense of belonging.
A voice in decisions, routines, and personal goals.
Encouragement to learn and move forward at an individual pace.
Kindness, patience, and thoughtful listening.
Our vision is rooted in Chicago, with appreciation for the South Side’s culture, relationships, and neighborhood connections. Community participation should reflect each person’s interests.

We value diverse backgrounds, identities, and ways of communicating. Support should honor individual preferences and make space for each person’s voice.
We aim to work thoughtfully with families, guardians, and community professionals, while respecting the individual’s wishes, privacy, and decision-making rights.
